Anne Simmons
I’m Anne Simmons, a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in healthcare. I specialize in supporting Veterans children, adolescents, and adults through challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based—I meet you where you are and work with you to create a plan that feels realistic and empowering. Beyond symptom management, I’m passionate about helping clients build resilience, restore balance, and move toward the life they want to live. At a Veteran wife myself, I greatly enjoy working with Veterans and their families to improve mental health in a bias free space, and meet you where you are. I can also assist with service connection paper/DBQs.
First session
In our first session, we’ll take the time to get to know each other and talk through what brings you in. I’ll ask about your current concerns, personal history, and goals, while also giving you space to share what feels most important in your own words. Together, we’ll begin to identify patterns, strengths, and challenges, and outline an initial plan that feels realistic and tailored to your needs. You can expect a supportive, collaborative space where your questions are welcomed and your comfort is a priority. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
Strengths
My greatest strengths are combining clinical expertise with a warm, down-to-earth approach. I draw on evidence-based treatments while tailoring care to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I truly listen, explain options clearly, and collaborate with them rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I have a strong background in ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions, and I help clients move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to feeling empowered with practical strategies and renewed confidence.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are anyone who is seeking to better understand themselves and find practical strategies for lasting change. I especially enjoy working with individuals managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions—including students, professionals, and veterans. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, and together we create a clear, personalized path forward. If you are looking for compassionate support, evidence-based treatment, and a provider who truly listens and collaborates with you, I would be honored to work alongside you.
