About me

A few sentences that would capture some of myself would follow as such. Firstly, I would say that my approach comes from a perspective of embracing and affirming the struggles that one has, by ultimately claiming and using those struggles and difficulties within one's own life as a vantage point to help understand and navigate through life. I would say one challenge I find in not only my own life but within conversations with others and within sessions is to validate and confirm all of one's existence, especially those that are more difficult to affirm such as pain, suffering, hardships, mental health and physical health disorders. Secondly, I am by nature very curious and attentive when in the company of another within a therapeutic space and outside a session which has brought many perspectives within my life from existentialism, CBT, DBT therapy, and many other modalities. One ideal that I strive for within sessions is to ask questions in such a manner to allow the client's to explore and discover details and aspects of one's life that otherwise would be dormant and to allow for greater exploration of meaning and purpose. One quote that would describe my practice would be: "we live in a state of becoming, being is more immediate, simple and indeterminate, where becoming is open, more complex and dynamic."

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First session would come from a space of getting to know one another, more specifically what your narrative is and creating a safe, and open environment to explore and discuss aspects of mental health and determine what specific goals and outcomes the client would like from therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My sessions are unique in that I bring existentialism, thoughts that provide a basis of many life experiences and tying them into concepts like freedom, meaninglessness, isolation and death as a basis of how we relate to those aspects of life and how that impacts our drives within life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

An ideal client would be one is has done some own exploration, open to new ideas, has identified some areas they struggle and some that they can navigate easily. A client who is willing to explore the past, present and how that impacts their ability to actualize parts of themselves and share it with others. A client who has a curiosity to their own struggles and how that creates meaning and purpose within their own lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a methodology that one can use to explain one's own thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how they tie in to describe how one effects the others parts that ultimately lead to one's own actions. By utilizing this framework and exploring from that perspective it allows for greater connection and meaning within one's own life and between others.
