New to Grow
Hello, I’m Dr. Arline Edwards-Joseph, a Board-Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with more than 30 years of experience in the counseling profession. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space where adults can explore life’s challenges, gain insight, and work toward meaningful change. I specialize in helping clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to partner with you in a way that honors your unique experiences, strengths, and cultural background as we work together toward healing and growth.
During our first session, we will complete the intake process and begin getting to know one another. This initial meeting provides an opportunity for you to share your story, discuss your concerns, and identify your goals for therapy. We will also gather important information to better understand your unique experiences and develop a collaborative plan that supports a productive and successful therapeutic journey together.

Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for most of my time as a mental health professional. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and examining how these thoughts influence actions, clients gain practical skills to make healthier choices, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I use a culturally sensitive approach in therapy by recognizing and respecting each client's unique cultural background, values, beliefs, identities, and lived experiences. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to share their perspectives.
