I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 16 years experience as a nurse practitioner. I have worked in various settings throughout my career, including child and adolescent ADHD, and treat all ages for mood, anxiety, dual diagnosis with addiction related issues, learning issues, autism, and depression. My approach is holistic and solution focused, medication and therapy management of symptoms. In this virtual setting, I do not manage high acuity bipolar, schizophrenia, or clients requesting benzodiazepine medications.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will establish your needs and get to know each other. I will answer questions and collect information to have an idea of how I can best help you. We will determine if we are a good fit and continue to move forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths is a provider are the ability to demonstrate empathy and caring for my clients, as well as insight and experience in a multitude of areas, which I then coordinate to be able to provide holistic care to my clients. I believe in education regarding diagnosis and treatment plan and that my clients should understand the reason for their diagnosis, and the treatment plan recommended. My approach is that we are working together as a team to provide the most effective help for you as my client.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Although I have experience across the lifespan, treating all psychiatric conditions, I have most recently specialized in working with children, adolescence, and young adults. My approach is focused on solutions. I incorporate motivational, problem, focused and mindfulness therapy techniques, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and conjunction with medication management when appropriate. I am open to working with all ages. In this virtual setting, I do not manage high acuity bipolar, schizophrenia, or clients requesting benzodiazepine medications.
