New to Grow
I am a dedicated mental health therapist with a passion for helping adults navigate trauma, grief, and life transitions. With two master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addictions Counseling, I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, CPT, and mindfulness to support healing and resilience. I create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their emotions, identify strengths, and work toward a more hopeful, balanced life.
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, supportive environment where we will focus on getting to know each other. I’ll listen carefully to understand your story, concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we’ll explore your goals for treatment, identify any immediate needs, and develop a plan tailored to your unique experiences. My aim is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to begin your healing journey.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is its focus on collaboration and tailoring interventions to each individual’s needs. I integrate evidence-based methods like EMDR, CPT, and CBT to address trauma, grief, and life transitions effectively. My approach emphasizes creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel supported and empowered. The results I’ve seen include increased emotional resilience, clarity, and hope. Helping clients move forward with confidence, develop practical coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
I am best positioned to serve adults experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, or significant life transitions. Clients who are open to exploring their emotions, gaining insight, and actively working toward change will find my collaborative, trauma-informed approach especially helpful. I support individuals committed to healing, building resilience, and developing practical skills to manage their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. My goal is to empower clients to create a more balanced, hopeful life and move forward with confidence and clarity.
EMDR
I have received EMDRIA certified training and experience using EMDR to help clients process trauma, grief, and distressing memories. In my practice, I guide clients through EMDR sessions to desensitize emotional responses and reframe negative beliefs, empowering them to heal and move forward with greater resilience. I tailor each session to your pace, ensuring a safe space for meaningful change.
Gottman method
I incorporate the Gottman Method to help clients improve communication, build trust, and strengthen their relationships. Through evidence-based techniques like active listening, emotion regulation, and conflict management, I support couples and individuals in creating healthier, more connected interactions. My goal is to foster lasting relationship skills that promote harmony and emotional intimacy.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility, accept difficult thoughts and feelings, and clarify their core values. In my practice, ACT encourages mindfulness and values-driven action, empowering clients to live more authentic and meaningful lives despite life’s challenges. This approach supports lasting change and emotional resilience
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) can be used to help clients reframe and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to trauma and difficult experiences. In my practice, CPT provides a structured, evidence-based approach to reduce shame, guilt, and emotional pain, fostering healing and healthier thinking patterns. This technique empowers clients to regain control and move forward with resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their distress. In my practice, CBT provides practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, and other challenges, empowering clients to develop healthier coping strategies and create lasting change. It’s a focused, goal-oriented approach that promotes self-awareness and resilience.
