Hello there. My name is Marlon, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care. With over ten years of experience in mental and behavioral health, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and veterans in a wide range of settings, including acute psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, and outpatient clinics. These experiences have shaped my ability to understand complex challenges and offer thoughtful, individualized treatment that truly meets each person where they are. My priority is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel respected, heard, and genuinely cared for. I take time to listen, understand your goals, and work with you to develop a plan that fits your needs and lifestyle. My patients often share that they feel more grounded, more confident, and better equipped to navigate life’s stressors after working together. Many experience improved mood, clearer thinking, healthier coping skills, and stronger relationships. The impact of my treatment goes beyond symptom relief—I help people regain stability, rebuild their sense of self, and move toward a more balanced, fulfilling life. I am here to guide you with empathy, evidence-based care, and a genuine commitment to your well-being. Your healing journey matters, and I look forward to supporting you every step of the way.
Our First Session Your first session is focused on understanding what you’re experiencing and what you need. We’ll talk about your symptoms, mental health history, current stressors, and your goals for treatment. You can share at your own pace—there is no pressure. I’ll explain your treatment options clearly and help you understand what may be contributing to your symptoms. If medication could be helpful, we’ll review the options together, discuss how they work, and decide on a plan that feels right for you. Some medications may require basic labs or an EKG to ensure they’re safe. Follow-up sessions allow us to check your progress, review any changes, and adjust treatment as needed. The goal is to make sure you feel supported, understood, and steadily moving toward better balance and emotional well-being.
What stands out about my approach is the combination of a calm, supportive presence and clear, straightforward communication. I use an evidence-based medication management style that helps clients understand exactly how each treatment option works, what symptoms it targets, and what changes to expect. This makes the process feel simple, transparent, and empowering rather than overwhelming. Patients appreciate the flexible telehealth scheduling, consistent follow-ups, and the judgment-free space to express themselves. Treatment plans are personalized and collaborative, ensuring that each person feels heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. As clients progress, many report increased emotional stability, reduced anxiety, improved sleep, and a renewed sense of control over their lives. The combination of clarity, support, and individualized treatment often leads to meaningful, lasting improvements in overall well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I regularly incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge distorted beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies. My experience includes using CBT with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and stress management. I integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive reframing, behavioral activation, thought-tracking, and exposure-based strategies when appropriate. In sessions, I work collaboratively with clients to increase their insight into how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and I provide practical skills they can apply in daily life. My approach is structured, evidence-based, and focused on helping patients develop long-term tools for managing their symptoms and improving overall functioning.
Supportive
I use a Supportive Approach to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and understood. My approach focuses on strengthening coping skills, enhancing resilience, and providing practical guidance during difficult times. I incorporate active listening, encouragement, problem-solving strategies, and emotional validation to help clients feel grounded and supported. A supportive approach is especially helpful for individuals experiencing stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, or those who benefit from a structured and compassionate clinical relationship. In my practice, I combine empathic support with evidence-based tools to help clients build confidence, improve daily functioning, and move toward their personal goals.
Humanistic
I incorporate a Humanistic approach that emphasizes each client’s inherent worth, personal strengths, and capacity for growth. I strive to create a warm, genuine, and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and better understand themselves. This approach focuses on self-awareness, authenticity, personal choice, and developing a meaningful sense of purpose. In my work, I use reflective listening, empathetic communication, and a nonjudgmental stance to help clients connect with their values and inner resources. A Humanistic approach supports clients in building self-acceptance, improving emotional well-being, and making positive, self-directed changes in their lives.
