Warm

Hi there, I am Dr. Lola Adeboye, a board-certified, doctoral-prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner here in Cumming, GA. A proud alumna of the University of Alabama, "Roll Tide". I create a warm, friendly, and relaxing atmosphere where my clients can express themselves and feel heard through therapeutic communication.

My approach combines evidence-based medication management with practical therapy skills and lifestyle support to treat the whole person, not just symptoms.

I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Eating disorders, Bipolar disorders, Psychosis, and schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorders. You can schedule an on-site, virtual, or after-hours visit with me at your convenience. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you.

First session

At Bel Healthcare, your first visit is a comprehensive mental health evaluation designed to understand your needs and create a personalized care plan. Appointments typically last 60–90 minutes. We will talk about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, past treatments, medications, and life stressors. I may ask questions about mood, anxiety, sleep, focus, trauma, and safety. These questions are routine and help ensure you receive the right care. If medication is appropriate, we’ll discuss options, benefits, and possible side effects. We may also talk about therapy, coping skills, sleep, and lifestyle habits that affect mental health. Treatment decisions are made together, and your questions are always welcome. By the end of the visit, you can expect a clear understanding of next steps, whether that includes medication, therapy, additional evaluation, or follow-up care. Everything you share is confidential, except for a few safety-related legal exceptions, which will be explained during your visit. We look forward to supporting you on your mental health journey.

Strengths

My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident in managing your mental health.

Treatment methods

Integrative

Medication is one part of treatment, but your brain and body are connected. We’ll work on sleep, stress, and lifestyle, too, so your treatment works better and lasts longer.

Supportive

I provide supportive psychotherapy, including active listening, emotional validation, normalization of stress response, reinforcement of coping strengths, and encouragement.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use therapeutic communication to help patients change unhelpful thinking and avoidance behaviors, which improves mood and anxiety symptoms.
