New to Grow
I am energetic, outgoing and love life, people, and animals. I am trauma certified and informed and believe we can heal and overcome with support and resources and a dedicated and trusting person to be with you on your healing journey. I love the outdors and nature. I offer the ability to have an animal present in person and online in sessions as a comfort. I love working with al ages especialy c hildren. I hold a behavior specialist license as well as my LPC. I feel that children are our future and we need to invest in their mental health and well being. I extend this onto those unhealed adults delaing with unresovled grief, shame, resentment, and a low sense of self worth. I want to help heal, overcome, and assist all persons regardless of thier sex, race, gender and idnetity. I run social emotional wellness groups for children, teens and adults.
During our first session and intake, I will begin establishing a therapeutic relationship by gathering pertinent information, sharing information and resources and listen to your needs, wants and ways to move forward.
As a trauma survivior and through my years of expereince and education, I am committed to your health, safety and wellbeing on your mental health journey. I use CBT, DBT, and TF-CBT. The animals offer a additonal strenght and safety for some clients.
The ideal client will have a vested interested in working through their current and past stressors, traumas, experiences, and explore ways to process, explore and heal. I want every client to be able to feel happy, healthy and safe. Often when we work through trauma, it affects us in many ways, my goal is for clients to be present and willing to address specific collective goals for positve future endeavors. I would also ask cliets to be able to look at thier strengths and weakness and be open to be challenged.
Based on the client diagnosis, background, past, and current stressors and needs, will determine the therapeutic approach. Often everyone has experienced some form of trauma, grief, and loss so my go to in the beginning is CBT and often Trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy.
