I am a Clinical Therapist with over a decade of experience in counseling, leadership, and mentoring. I have my Masters in Clinical Social Work and specialize in Trauma and PTSD, Relationships, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, and mood-related concerns. I work with clients from all age groups, focusing on finding practical and meaningful solutions for difficult situations. I offer a strengths-oriented and trauma-informed perspective grounded on various therapeutic techniques. I am very aware of the dynamics culture, gender, and other external factors play on our life choices. Treatment is approached holistically and includes all the different pieces of who you are so that change can be meaningful and long-lasting. As a Certified Christian Counselor, I have experience integrating faith with clinical treatment. I believe spiritual and emotional wellness go hand-in-hand and actively work towards bridging the gap between spirituality and mental health. For my clients who identify as Christian, we will focus on spiritual growth alongside of developing clinical skills. Therapy is tailored to your specific needs and filled with compassion and respect. I aim to create a challenging yet encouraging space so my clients feel empowered as they work towards healing and growth. Let's get a session scheduled and discuss your needs. I am looking forward to meeting you and being part of your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will include an assessment of your current needs and stressors. We will also review your history and personal goals as well as create a treatment plan. I understand that taking the first steps of therapy can be daunting, so we will go according to a pace you feel comfortable with. Ongoing sessions will focus on working towards your treatment goals and taking action steps to help produce positive change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I help my clients discover their resilience, leadership abilities, and self-confidence. I create a safe space for you to share your worries, pain, hopes, and dreams. I am culturally sensitive, compassionate, and respectful in my treatment approaches.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I offer a strengths-oriented and solution-focused perspective that helps clients feel more confident and capable. I support clients in recognizing their positive qualities and internal resiliency so that they can focus on effective problem-solving and healing.

Christian Counseling

I am a Board Certified Christian Counselor with experience successfully integrating faith and clinical treatment. Sessions will include examining Biblical truths alongside of developing clinical skills.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used to develop an understanding of unhealthy thought patterns that are creating negative feelings and behaviors. By recognizing these patterns, we can work towards changing how we see ourselves and others. This helps improve our perspectives, problem-solving abilities, and overall functioning.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Practicing acceptance can help decrease self-critical thoughts and improve relationships. Recognizing that there are areas out of our control and releasing the need to force change can help ease overwhelming thoughts and conflicts. We are then better able to re-focus on the positive aspects of our lives and enjoy the goodness that still exists.
