About me

With over nine years of clinical experience, I have developed a natural ability to connect deeply with individuals and meet people wherever they are on their life journey. I am licensed in Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). Specializing in trauma recovery and substance use, I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches—including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), and Motivational Interviewing. Together, we will build a personalized treatment plan designed around your values and the meaningful outcomes you want to achieve. I work with clients ranging from adolescents (ages 11+) through late adulthood.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about creating a safe, welcoming foundation. We will spend time getting to know each other to ensure we are a genuine, comfortable fit for working together. Through a collaborative assessment, we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your primary needs and concerns, and begin outlining a clear, individualized roadmap for our work ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is rooted in genuine compassion, deep empathy, and a touch of well-timed humor when appropriate. I have a strong intuitive ability to attune to others' emotions, which allows me to hold an intentional, grounded space for you. Whether a moment calls for deep emotional processing, quiet reflection, or gentle and supportive challenge to help you grow, I adapt the session to what serves you best in that moment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who feel ready for change and are open to learning and practicing new skills outside of session. Therapy is a collaborative partnership; if you are willing to lean into the tough conversations, allow yourself to experience and process your emotions, and show up authentically, you will find our work deeply rewarding. As long as you are seeking meaningful change and willing to invest in yourself to get there, we will be a great match.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing—which is a fancy way of saying we help your brain finish filing that stuck memory where it belongs. Here’s what it actually looks like in our room: You are in the driver’s seat: You never have to share every little graphic detail out loud if you don't want to, and we always have a hand signal (like a stop sign) so you can hit pause anytime you want. Bilateral Stimulation (the back-and-forth): While you bring a piece of that memory to mind, we do something called 'bilateral stimulation.' You might watch my fingers or a light bar move back and forth, hold small buzzers in your hands that gently vibrate left-right-left, or listen to alternating tones in headphones. It’s the exact same kind of brain processing your eyes do naturally when you're dreaming at night.
