Greetings! I am Sade Bowman, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Atlanta, Georgia. I have 13 years of experience working with kids and teens. I have 6 years of experience as a therapist working with kids, teens, and adults facing suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, anger issues, ADHD, and Autism. My style is Psychoanalytic, which means I assist my clients with uncovering their unconscious processes and help them understand how their past experiences influence their current life. Also, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Emotionally Focused Therapy are implemented to assist my clients with developing a healthy mind and self-esteem. I am in-network with various insurance companies listed below. However, my individual sessions are $99 per session. I do offer a sliding scale for clients experiencing financial hardship. I offer sessions via Telehealth and I am available most weekdays. I am looking forward to our first session together!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a relaxed meeting where I learn more about you, your goals, and what brought you into therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once as we will go at your pace. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions, and we’ll begin outlining a plan that feels right for you. This is a supportive, judgment-free space designed to help you feel comfortable and understood from the start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is how I integrate multiple modalities, including narrative therapy, CBT, psychoanalytic, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to create a personalized experience for each client. I have a strong ability to identify and track patterns in thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. This ability allows us to better understand what may be keeping you stuck. We work collaboratively to develop practical strategies to interrupt, shift, and ultimately change those patterns. These methods will help you have more effective and lasting outcomes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to work with children, teens, and adults in individual sessions who are open to growth and ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. Using approaches like CBT, narrative therapy, and solution-focused work, I help clients understand their patterns, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools for everyday challenges. My style is collaborative and forward-focused, supporting clients who want to feel better, gain clarity, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I predominantly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. We will be working together to notice and gently challenge unhelpful thinking and patterns that you may possess. Additionally, we will examine what small daily changes can allow you to have positive emotions and feel more in control of your life. Ultimately, CBT is a practical, collaborative process focused on skills you can use in your everyday life.

Psychoanalytic

I tend to use a Psychoanalytic approach, which will assist in uncovering your unconscious processes and help you understand how your past experiences influence your current life.

Narrative

I will implement Narrative therapy, which focuses on the stories you tell about yourself and your experiences, and how those stories shape the way you see your life. Together, we’ll explore these narratives, separate you from the problems you’re facing, and identify strengths or alternative perspectives that may have been overlooked. The goal is to help you build a more empowering and meaningful story that fits who you are and where you want to go.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-focused therapy to identify what’s already working in your life and build on those strengths. Instead of spending a lot of time on the problem itself, we’ll focus on your goals and small, practical steps you can take to move toward them. It’s a forward-looking, collaborative approach that helps you create meaningful change more quickly.
