My professional experience includes work in special needs education, treatment foster care, young parent support groups, and community health for aging adults. This diverse background has helped me discover that every individual has unique strengths and abilities that they can employ to promote individualized healing and lasting change. If you are a teen or new mother navigating life transitions, I am here to support you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment. Here's a brief overview of what to expect: Introduction: We'll start by getting to know each other. I'll explain my approach to therapy and answer any questions you have. Discussing Your Concerns: You'll have the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and your goals. Reviewing Your History: I'll ask about your personal history to understand you better, including relevant background information related to your mental health and life experiences. Setting Goals and Planning: Together, we'll identify your goals for therapy and create a preliminary plan for our work together. Building Trust: We'll work on establishing a comfortable and trusting relationship. This first session is the start of our journey together, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to working with you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy are the most common approaches I use.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in supporting new moms, parents, and teen girls through life's transitions. With years of experience treating women, children, and families, I have worked with a wide range of mental health challenges, including postpartum struggles, OCD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. One of my greatest strengths is providing mental health support to new mothers. I am a strong advocate for maternal mental health and believe that society needs to offer more support to mothers after birth and adoption, particularly those facing postpartum depression and anxiety. I guide and support moms as they develop their parenting styles and adjust to the significant changes in their lives. While my primary focus is on new mothers, parents, children, and teens, I have experience working with individuals of all ages. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients can thrive and overcome their challenges. My diverse background includes work in special needs education, treatment foster care, young parent support groups, and community health for aging adults. This experience has helped me discover that every individual has unique strengths and abilities that they can employ to promote individualized healing and lasting change.
