About me

Hey there! I'm Candace. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University, and I'm a Licensed Psychologist in Ohio. I enjoy working with a variety of presenting concerns, though I most often work with anxiety, grief, ADHD concerns, relationship issues, and life transitions (break ups, divorce, graduation, job changes, career counseling, etc.). I want to help you figure yourself out, and work together to put you on the path you actually want to be on.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My primary goal in our first session is to get to know you, and to create a safe, comfortable environment for us to work together. I believe that growth and progress happen most often within the context of a supportive space that allows you to challenge yourself.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’d like to help you better understand yourself, your circumstances, and your reactions. Sometimes we seek therapy because we're tired of where we are, and sometimes it's because of factors beyond our control. Regardless, we'll work together to help you pinpoint what you need, and to create a life with purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. My primary goal is to get you where you want to be, even if you don’t quite know where that is yet. I will support you in finding your own voice, values, needs, and wants to help you create your most authentic, empowered self. We will also focus on increasing your awareness of your own patterns, to allow you more flexibility in how your respond to life’s challenges. Difficult, unfair things happen; we can work together to help you process these things and identify ways you can minimize further pain. While the work is up to you, you never have to do it alone. I'd love to connect and see how I can best support you!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients who are ready to face themselves. I believe shinning a light on your circumstances, reactions, and patterns is the first major step to building the life you want. I often work with those going through major life transitions - a break up/divorce, a new job, graduating, moving, new relationships, etc. - to help them manage these changes in a way that aligns with their values. I also work with those experiencing grief, anxiety, relationship concerns, and identity related concerns.
