Welcome! My name is Mati and I'm a licensed clinal social worker. I bring a warm, caring, and fully present approach to the work we do together in therapy. Rooted in a trauma-informed foundation, I hold space with compassion and curiosity, honoring the complexities of your lived experience. My approach blends evidence-based practices with a holistic perspective, recognizing that healing is not just of the mind, but of the body, spirit, and soul. Whether you're navigating grief, trauma, identity shifts, or spiritual awakening, I offer a grounded and intuitive space for you to reconnect with your inner wisdom and wholeness. Together, we’ll co-create a path toward healing that honors both your pain and your potential.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my primary goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. We'll take time to explore what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of our work together, and begin to gently uncover the layers of your story. This session is about connection and building trust. You can also ask me questions about the therapy process, my approach, or anything else that helps you feel grounded.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to hold space with deep empathy, presence, and non-judgment. I create an environment where clients feel safe to show up fully, as they are. I believe in the resilience and inner strength of my clients and I support them in moving toward greater clarity, connection, and growth at a pace that feels right for them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support clients who are committed to their personal growth and ready to engage in the healing process. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin; you just need to be open. Whether you're at the start of your journey or deep in the work, I’m here to walk alongside you. I work well with individuals who are willing to explore their inner world, challenge old patterns, and move toward a more aligned and authentic version of themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients working through anxiety and depression. CBT can be a powerful way to gently explore how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we look at the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and begin to shift them in a more supportive direction. I see it as a collaborative and empowering process that helps you better understand yourself and move toward lasting emotional well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a gentle way to reconnect with yourself. It helps you slow down and notice your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations with kindness instead of judgment. In sessions, we might explore breathwork, grounding, or simple reflection. Whatever feels most supportive to you. Mindfulness can create space for calm, clarity, and self-compassion, especially in times of stress.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, which means I prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in every step of our work together. I recognize that trauma can show up in many ways and affect how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and in control of your healing process. I move at your pace, always respecting your boundaries and readiness, and work collaboratively to build coping tools, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-understanding.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy helps clients tap into their own strengths and inner resources. This approach is centered around what’s working in your life and the small, meaningful steps you can take toward your goals. Rather than focusing on problems, we work together to identify your hopes, build on past successes and move toward positive change at a pace that feels right for you. I love how empowering this approach can be, especially when life feels overwhelming or stuck.
