I am a licensed mental health counselor in New York. I specializes in a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I have experience and training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and work from a trauma-informed and relational perspective. I often find that we aren’t validated for what we feel and experience, which can make us feel disconnected in our relationships and from ourselves. It can be difficult to discover what we need and the directions we need to go in when we’re not feeling connected to ourselves. My goal is to work alongside you as we navigate your story to seek understanding and solutions. We will also explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence each other. Our meetings will likely be weekly, and I will provide tools for you to use outside of sessions, which might require daily practice. To start, we will explore your background and create a plan for our time together. The plan is something we will review and revise regularly. Overall, I want to make sure you're getting the most out of our sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have practicing with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques since I began providing therapy. This will look like learning practicing specific skills related to thoughts, emotions and behaviors during therapy sessions and daily outside of therapy sessions.

Trauma Informed Care

I work through a trauma informed care lens. This means I'm persistently considering the influence of any trauma experiences on not only your current emotional state but the impact on you physically. We will explore any history of trauma. I will then provide education regarding trauma and then we will explore specific themes or patterns in your emotions and behaviors that are likely connected to your trauma.
