As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), I have dedicated my life and career to the physical and mental wellbeing of others.
I assure you that at the end of each appointment, you will leave with tools to deal with the day-to-day trials, coping mechanisms for those of your past, and above all, hope for the future.
In addition to the clinical setting, I was a Professor of Nursing Sciences at the prestigious University of Miami for 15 years. Research is paramount to me and I am passionate about providing evidence-based care to my patients.
First session
During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but your story, strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, your personal and mental health history, current challenges, and any questions or concerns you may have. If medication management is appropriate, we will also review your symptoms, previous treatments, and discuss evidence-based treatment options together. My approach is warm, compassionate, and free of judgment. I believe that building trust is the foundation of meaningful progress, so you can expect a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood. By the end of our first session, you will have a clearer understanding of your treatment plan, practical tools or strategies to begin using right away, and confidence that we are working together toward your goals for healing and lasting well-being.
