(she/her)
Hi! I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing evidence-based psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and older adults. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD (INPERSON ONLY), and substance use concerns, including opioid use disorder. My approach is collaborative, structured, and patient-centered. I take time to listen, clarify diagnoses, and explain treatment options so patients feel informed and supported. Care is never rushed, and treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. I offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and Subutex treatment using a trauma-informed and respectful approach. Services are available via secure telehealth and in person.
During your first appointment, we will review your concerns, psychiatric and medical history, and treatment goals. Together, we will develop a clear plan with next steps and follow-up. Appointments are confidential and conducted using HIPAA-compliant platforms.
My greatest strength is providing structured, thoughtful psychiatric care while maintaining a calm and supportive presence. I take time to listen carefully, clarify diagnoses, and explain treatment options in a way that feels clear and manageable. I am especially skilled at working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain after trying medication before. My approach focuses on accurate assessment, thoughtful medication selection, and close follow-up, with an emphasis on long-term stability and functional improvement. Patients often share that they feel heard, respected, and better informed about their care. I value collaboration, consistency, and clear communication, and I work closely with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their goals and daily lives.
I am best positioned to work with adolescents and adults who are seeking thoughtful, structured psychiatric care and want to better understand their mental health. Many of my ideal clients experience ADHD (INPERSON ONLY), anxiety, depression, or mood instability and are looking for clarity, stability, and practical support. I work well with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated after trying medication before and want a provider who takes time to listen and explain treatment options. Ideal clients value collaboration, follow-through, and open communication, and are willing to engage actively in their care. My approach is a good fit for those who are seeking long-term improvement rather than quick fixes, and who want a clear plan that supports daily functioning, emotional balance, and overall quality of life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We'll be using a combination of approaches, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Think of them as tools in a toolbox, each helping us understand and address different aspects of your experience. We'll work together to identify those recurring thoughts, especially the ones that might be causing you distress. We'll examine if these thoughts are completely accurate or if there might be other ways of looking at the situation. For example, if you think, 'I always mess things up,' we'll explore the evidence for that and see if there are times you've succeeded.
Motivational Interviewing
This is about exploring your own reasons for wanting to change and building your confidence in your ability to do so. How it works: We'll have conversations where we explore your goals and values. We'll look at any ambivalence you might be feeling about change, and we'll work together to identify your strengths and resources. Mindfulness-Based Therapy
This is about paying attention to the present moment, without judgment. It's like learning to observe your thoughts and feelings as if they were clouds passing by in the sky. Mindfulness can help you reduce reactivity to difficult emotions and increase your ability to manage stress. It creates a space between you and your thoughts, so they don't feel so overwhelming.
