New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in trauma and understand how past experiences can continue to impact emotions, relationships, and daily life long after they occur. In my private practice, I offer a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel safe, heard, and respected. I believe healing happens through connection and collaboration, and I tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. Whether you are navigating the effects of trauma, feeling overwhelmed, or seeking personal growth, I work alongside you to build resilience, insight, and lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first therapy session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we focus on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. We’ll also review confidentiality, answer any questions you have, and discuss what working together might look like. The first session is about building connection, setting expectations, and making sure you feel safe, heard, and supported as we begin this process together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have over nine years of experience working with diverse populations, and my goal is to help you feel truly heard, supported, and understood. I tailor my approach to each individual by integrating a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing. I am deeply passionate about supporting others and strive to create a safe, compassionate space where you can process life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who is open to self-reflection and ready to engage in the therapeutic process. You may be experiencing life transitions, emotional challenges, or feeling stuck, but you’re willing to explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns with curiosity and honesty. Even if you’re unsure where to start, a desire for growth and change is enough. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to build insight, develop coping skills, and move toward the life you want in a supportive and compassionate space
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT works by helping you notice how your thoughts affect how you feel and what you do. In therapy, we would look at patterns in your thinking—especially the ones that are harsh, negative, or unhelpful—and gently question them. We would work on replacing those thoughts with more realistic, kinder ones. At the same time, you work on small, practical changes in behavior, trying new ways to cope with challenges in your daily life.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing focuses on you and what you want to change. My goals are to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you explore your own reasons for change. You talk through any mixed feelings or doubts you have, and together you build confidence in your ability to make choices that fit your values. The goal is to help you feel motivated and empowered to take steps toward change in a way that feels right for you.
Strength-Based
Everyone has there own strengths that can be explored and utilized to help you reach your goals
Trauma Informed Care
For me, trauma-informed care is about making sure you feel safe, respected, and in control during therapy. I understand that past trauma can affect how you think, feel, and respond, even now. I will work with you at your pace, explain what’s happening in sessions, and always give you choices. Instead of asking “what’s wrong with you,” the focus is on understanding “what happened to you,” helping you build trust, feel empowered, and avoid being re-triggered while you heal.
