Clients see me as passionate and sincere in my approach. I admire the uniqueness of each individual I encounter. I desire to instill hope amid hardships and guide clients toward healing and wholeness. I am passionate about being able to come alongside my clients and help them reach the goals they want to accomplish in therapy so they can become the person they desire to be. My goal as a therapist is to provide a genuine therapeutic relationship and a safe space for my clients to feel heard, welcomed, and respected. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. I have worked in the field for the last 8 years where I gained experience in assisting clients with presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem issues, relationship and family issues, social competencies, and addiction. I have worked as a therapist at a community mental health agency working with a wide range of clients with different presenting issues, as a counselor at a residential facility for troubled teen girls, as a staff counselor for men and women with substance use disorder, and an adult mentor for individuals with disabilities. In each setting, I have provided coping skills for clients who needed tools to regulate their emotions and have supported them in reaching their treatment plan goals. I enjoy spending time with my toddler who has taught me to learn how to laugh when unexpected things occur, smile when mistakes are made, and maintain peace in the chaos and mess. I am a trauma survivor -- which gives me the confidence to say there is "a living hope that enables me to have both sorrow and joy." -Tim Keller. My self-care consists of quiet time, prayer, and being in nature. I also enjoy a good movie with snacks and a cozy blanket.
