My name is Chase Christensen and I am a licensed therapist working in California. I have been working as a therapist for 15 years, serving all walks of life, every age, ethnic background and circumstance. I have worked in residential, seen clients in home, and outpatient services. I have served homeless and well off clients alike. Currently I am privileged enough to work in the school system seeing school aged clients for individual, group, and family therapies. I employ an eclectic style of therapy, leaning on interpersonal and DBT orientations. I consider it an honor to be a therapist.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

See if we are a good fit, for the parents and I and for the client and I, or if you are an adult, if we are a good match. I will also conduct an assessment and try and formulate a diagnosis and initial treatment goal.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Working in the school system currently, I feel comfortable with adolescent and youth clients. But I also love working with adults, as I was recently up until 2021 was a professor at Azusa Pacific University where I worked with people older and younger than myself. Working with clients who have trauma, depression, ADHD, and Bipolar are areas I am very comfortable with and would consider a strength of mine.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Adolescent, Adult. I am comfortable with any age really from 6-80!

Interpersonal

The therapeutic relationship is the focus of the treatment and models the maladptive and corrective symptoms that occur outside the therapy room to have an environment (the therapy room/session) to improve upon them
