My name is Chase Christensen and I am a licensed therapist working in California. I have been working as a therapist for 17 years, serving all walks of life, every age, ethnic background and circumstance. I have worked in residential, seen clients in home, and outpatient services. I have served homeless and well off clients alike. Currently I am privileged enough to work in the school system seeing school aged clients for individual, group, and family therapies. I employ an eclectic style of therapy, leaning on interpersonal and DBT orientations. I consider it an honor to be a therapist.
See if we are a good fit, for the parents and I and for the client and I, or if you are an adult, if we are a good match. I will also conduct an assessment and try and formulate a diagnosis and initial treatment goal.
Working in the school system currently, I feel comfortable with adolescent and youth clients. But I also love working with adults, as I was recently up until 2021 was a professor at Azusa Pacific University where I worked with people older and younger than myself. Working with clients who have trauma, depression, ADHD, and Bipolar are areas I am very comfortable with and would consider a strength of mine.
Adolescent, Adult. I am comfortable with any age really from 6-80!
The therapeutic relationship is the focus of the treatment and models the maladptive and corrective symptoms that occur outside the therapy room to have an environment (the therapy room/session) to improve upon them

It turns out that Chase and I have a lot in common and he has a very caring, but also direct approach. He seems very easy to talk to, and I feel comfortable opening up to him in a way. I don’t usually feel with other men and male therapists.

Dr. Chase has become really familiar with myself and my issues. He keeps me grounded and thinking clearly for the future and at this point, couldn't thank him enough for the improvement in my relationships and growth. I move more confidently everyday and take more pride in living my most genuine self as I grow. Whenever I find myself in a difficult spot mentally these days, I think to myself. "WWDCD; What would Dr. Chase do?"
