About me

*Only accepting online sessions* Hi, I’m Charleen. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Florida. I specialize in helping women in their 20s and 30s who may look like they have it all together on the outside, but internally feel stuck, insecure, or unsure of their path. My clients often come to therapy during big life transitions—breakups, career changes, family stress, friendship ruptures, or moments where they’re simply asking, “What am I doing with my life?” Many also struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, or patterns in relationships that leave them feeling unfulfilled or unseen. I also provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and offer a safe, supportive space to explore your identity, relationships, and mental health without fear of judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I’m here to help you untangle what’s getting in the way, build insight, and develop practical coping tools, while reminding you that you don’t have to figure everything out alone. If you’re tired of putting everyone else first, second-guessing yourself, or just feeling like you’re not “enough,” I’d love to support you in reconnecting with your worth and your voice.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you hope will change. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, and current concerns, while giving you space to share at your own pace. By the end, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what we can work toward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a genuine, nonjudgmental approach to my sessions. I’m a compassionate listener, but I’m also an active therapist who will help you recognize patterns, consider new perspectives, and find practical ways to move forward. My background as a Marriage and Family Therapist gives me a relational lens, so I pay close attention to how relationships, past experiences, and the expectations we carry influence how we see ourselves. Clients can expect a space where they can be open, feel understood, and also be gently challenged when it supports their growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may look like they have it all together on the outside but privately struggles with self-doubt, anxiety, or feeling “not good enough.” I especially enjoy working with women and professionals navigating life transitions, relationship or friendship challenges, career uncertainty, attachment concerns, or that feeling of “I don’t know what I’m doing with my life.” They want to better understand themselves, break old patterns, and build more confidence and self-compassion.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I want to empower my clients to find solutions to their problems and move forward in life.

Feminist

I consider the context of the client's experience of oppression in a patriarchal society while processing as well the intersectional context (race, socioeconomic background, disabilities, etc.)

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT in a relaxed manner that helps the client reframe unhelpful thoughts while also validating the client's experience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I let the client guide what they need in the session. They are the expert in their own life.

I love Charleen, definitely the best therapist I’ve had. She’s super warm, kind, and she provides great ways to look at situations and move forward. She’s also in the know with modern terminology and practices which further reinforces why I think she’s so great. Highly recommend!
