I am Karina Tamayo a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California and I have been practicing for 7 years. I have worked with people of various backgrounds who have been struggling with different issues. I take pride on building a strong rapport with my clients and providing them with the space to build on their strengths and live fuller and richer lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first sessions I like to get to know my clients a little better by asking them the nature of why they are searching out services. I provide answers to questions that may come up and I map out what treatment will look like.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy working with people and getting to know them on a deeper level to help them explore and identify root issues of patterns that may be problematic. I validate feelings and challenge thoughts when appropriate. I highlight strengths that vary from small to large because every strengths is important to see.
