New to Grow
I bring warmth, curiosity, and over 20 years of experience helping people navigate difficult emotions, relationships, and life transitions. My work is grounded in an integrative, trauma-informed approach, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, attachment-based work, and mindfulness-informed practices to support both insight and practical change. One of my greatest strengths is looking beyond the immediate problem to understand the patterns underneath it—how past experiences, relationships, and ways of coping may be shaping what is happening today across different stages of life. I also have a strong background in school-based settings, which has deepened my understanding of developmental challenges, academic stress, peer dynamics, and family systems. I balance compassion with honesty, creating a space where people feel deeply understood while also gently challenged to see themselves and their choices in new ways. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth; therapy with me is not about having all the answers, but about helping you better understand yourself, trust your own voice, and create meaningful change that feels authentic to who you are.
Our first session is less about checking boxes and more about beginning to understand your story. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels difficult right now, and what you hope might be different. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on or having the perfect words for what you’re feeling. We’ll begin where you are. I’ll ask questions, listen for the patterns underneath the story, and help us identify where our work together might be most meaningful. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can put down some of what you’ve been carrying, become curious about yourself rather than critical of yourself, and begin creating meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and over 20 years of experience helping people navigate difficult emotions, relationships, and life transitions. One of my greatest strengths is looking beyond the immediate problem to understand the patterns underneath it—how past experiences, relationships, and ways of coping may be shaping what is happening today. I balance compassion with honesty, creating a space where clients feel deeply understood while also gently challenged to see themselves and their choices in new ways. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth; therapy with me is not about having all the answers, but about helping you better understand yourself, trust your own voice, and create meaningful change that feels authentic to who you are.
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who may appear to be managing on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck beneath the surface. I especially enjoy working with women navigating divorce, relationship changes, identity shifts, and other major life transitions, as well as teens struggling with anxiety, friendships, self-esteem, and finding their place. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, yet find themselves repeating patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, caretaking, or putting their own needs aside. They’re looking for more than temporary coping strategies—they want to understand themselves more deeply, strengthen their relationships and boundaries, trust their own voice, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and fulfilling.
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, particularly when anxiety, self-doubt, or unhelpful patterns leave them feeling stuck. Together, we identify thoughts and beliefs that may be contributing to distress, explore where they come from, and practice developing more balanced and helpful ways of responding. I integrate CBT flexibly with a relational approach, so the work is not simply about “changing your thoughts,” but about developing greater awareness, challenging patterns that no longer serve you, and building practical skills that create meaningful change in everyday life.
I use mindfulness-based approaches to help clients slow down, become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses, and create space between what they feel and how they respond. Rather than judging or immediately trying to change difficult experiences, we practice noticing them with greater curiosity and self-compassion. I integrate mindfulness naturally into therapy through grounding, present-moment awareness, and reflection, helping clients feel less overwhelmed by anxiety or emotional reactivity and more connected to themselves and their choices.
I use a trauma-informed approach to understand how past experiences can shape the way clients respond to stress, relationships, and the world around them. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” we explore what you’ve experienced, how you learned to protect yourself, and whether those patterns are still serving you today. I prioritize safety, trust, choice, and collaboration, allowing clients to move at a pace that feels manageable. My goal is to help you better understand your responses without judgment, build a greater sense of safety within yourself, and develop new ways of navigating your emotions, relationships, and life.
I use supportive therapy to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. Through active listening, reflection, encouragement, and gentle exploration, I help clients make sense of difficult emotions and experiences while recognizing the strengths and resilience they already possess. Supportive therapy is woven throughout my work, particularly during periods of stress, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, helping clients feel less alone while building greater confidence in their ability to navigate what comes next.
I use an eclectic approach because therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I draw from different therapeutic approaches based on each client’s individual needs, personality, goals, and what they are experiencing at the time. This may include elements of CBT, ACT, mindfulness, supportive, relational, and trauma-informed approaches. Together, we explore what feels most helpful and meaningful, allowing therapy to evolve as you do. My goal is to meet you where you are while providing both practical tools and opportunities for deeper insight, growth, and lasting change.
