Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with licenses in Georgia, Texas, and Florida. I have over nine years of experience helping women navigate some of life's most challenging and meaningful transitions. I specialize in working with women who are facing life changes, relationship challenges, anxiety, and depression. Whether you're adjusting to a new phase in life, feeling stuck in an unfulfilling relationship, or struggling with overwhelming emotions, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and start building the life you want.
In our first session together the focus is on getting to know you. I want to get to know your story, your goals, and what brings you to therapy now. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current challenges, and what you're hoping to gain from our work together. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. We'll also talk about how I work, go over confidentiality, and discuss any questions or concerns you might have about the therapy process. Most importantly, this session is a chance for us to begin building a safe, supportive relationship where you can feel heard, respected, and understood. By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying some initial goals and determine if we’re a good fit to move forward together. My goal is for you to leave feeling a little lighter, a little more hopeful, and a lot more seen.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I understand that reaching out for help takes courage, and I deeply respect each client’s unique story, pace, and needs. Clients often tell me they appreciate my warm, grounded presence and the way I balance empathy with practical tools. I’m skilled at helping clients untangle complicated emotions, recognize patterns that may no longer serve them, and build the confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
I love working with women who are navigating major life transitions, experiencing relationship difficulties, or struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression. Many of my clients are high functioning but feeling overwhelmed, unfulfilled, or emotionally stuck while often juggling multiple roles and expectations at work, in relationships, or in family life.
My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented. In early sessions, I work with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their distress. We use tools such as thought records, behavioral experiments, exposure exercises, and structured problem-solving to promote more balanced thinking and adaptive coping strategies. I tailor CBT techniques to each client’s unique needs and developmental level, integrating mindfulness and self-compassion practices when appropriate. Throughout the process, I monitor progress using symptom tracking and regular feedback to ensure therapy is effective and responsive to the client’s goals.
In my therapy practice, I incorporate Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients who are feeling ambivalent about change or struggling with motivation. MI allows me to meet clients where they are, honoring their autonomy and helping them explore their own reasons for change rather than imposing external goals. I use MI particularly with clients working through substance use, health behavior change, trauma recovery, or life transitions. In these sessions, I focus on building rapport through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations. I guide clients in identifying discrepancies between their current behavior and their personal values or goals, which often becomes a turning point in their readiness for change. I help clients move through the stages of change at their own pace. Many clients find this approach empowering and less pressured, which can be especially effective when resistance or ambivalence is present.
