I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be themselves and explore difficult emotions and experiences. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I incorporate techniques from play therapy, mindfulness, trauma-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and develop greater self-understanding. I especially enjoy helping children and teens express themselves in creative and developmentally appropriate ways through telehealth. I believe therapy can be a place for healing, growth, and meaningful change. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, my goal is to help clients feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring your goals, concerns, and hopes for the counseling process. My goal is to create a supportive, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe sharing at your own pace. For children and adolescents, the first session may include age-appropriate activities, conversation, or play-based interventions to help build trust and connection. I also value collaborating with parents and caregivers when appropriate to better understand a child’s strengths, needs, and environment. Together, we will begin identifying helpful goals, coping strategies, and areas of focus for future sessions. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy — the first session is simply a starting point for building understanding, support, and a plan tailored to your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a calm, genuine, and emotionally safe environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I strive to balance empathy and compassion with practical tools and strategies that help clients make meaningful progress both inside and outside of sessions. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and stress-related concerns. I especially enjoy helping clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, highly self-aware, or unsure how to express what they are experiencing internally. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, flexible, and individualized. I integrate techniques from play therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), strengths-based therapy, and person-centered therapy depending on each client’s needs and goals. Through telehealth, I also use creative and engaging digital interventions to help children and adolescents feel comfortable and connected during sessions. Clients often appreciate that I am approachable, authentic, patient, and able to meet them where they are emotionally. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely supported while also being empowered to build insight, resilience, healthier coping skills, and confidence in themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and stress related to work, parenting, or identity. I especially enjoy working with children and teens who may struggle to express themselves verbally and benefit from creative, play-based, and emotionally supportive approaches. Through telehealth, I incorporate digital play therapy techniques, mindfulness strategies, and collaborative activities to help younger clients feel engaged, safe, and understood. I also work well with clients who feel emotionally exhausted from constantly “holding it together” for others. Many of my clients are caregivers, parents, helping professionals, military families, or individuals experiencing burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, or difficulty managing emotions and stress. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels genuine, supportive, nonjudgmental, and practical. In addition to working with anxiety and trauma-related concerns, I help clients improve emotional regulation, communication, self-esteem, coping skills, and relationship patterns. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, identify their strengths, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions and experiences. My approach is collaborative and individualized, meaning I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, personality, and goals. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and believe healing often begins when clients feel truly heard, accepted, and emotionally safe. Whether someone is seeking support for their child, processing painful experiences, adjusting to major life changes, or simply trying to feel more balanced and connected, I aim to provide a space where growth, resilience, and meaningful change can take place.

My treatment methods

Play Therapy

Through telehealth, I incorporate digital play therapy techniques and elements of art therapy to help children express emotions, build coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and strengthen communication in a safe and engaging environment. I tailor activities to each child’s developmental level and individual needs to support growth, creativity, and emotional healing.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment without judgment. In my practice, I use mindfulness techniques to help clients manage stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and improve emotional regulation, self-awareness, and overall well-being

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) helps children, adolescents, and families process traumatic experiences in a safe and structured way. In my practice, I use TF-CBT techniques to help clients build coping skills, understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, reduce trauma-related symptoms, and strengthen emotional safety and resilience.

Strength-Based

Strengths-based therapy focuses on identifying and building upon each client’s existing strengths, resilience, and personal values. In my practice, I help clients recognize their abilities, develop confidence, and use their strengths to navigate challenges, support personal growth, and create meaningful change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered (Rogerian) therapy emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. In my practice, I strive to help clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they explore their experiences, develop self-awareness, and work toward personal growth and healing.
