My name is Lucinda Kiper. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in The state of Kentucky. I have been in the social work field for over 9 years. Over the years I have worked with clients with severe mental illness, housing insecurity, incarcerated individuals, and substance use. My experience working with diverse populations has helped me to use trauma informed care approaches to serve my clients. I look at all aspects to help you find clarity in your journey.
Our first session will begin with a comprehensive assessment of you and your life. We will talk about what is bring you to therapy. We will continue with creating a treatment plan with client collaboration to guide our sessions.
I truly believe in the power of creating a supportive and collaborative environment as we work together. In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques to empower you to shape your desired self and cultivate the life you truly want and deserve. My approach is all about client centered treatment! I want you to know that your feelings are valid, and you don’t have to go through this alone. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or just want someone to talk to, I’m here to help create a safe and compassionate space for you.
I teach CBT techniques to help clients better manage there thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I use Motivational Interviewing to gage what stage of change a client is in and to help clients discover autonomous choice.
Psychoeducation is used to help clients understand a diagnosis, symptoms, coping skills, client empowerment, and providing educational materials.
