Hello, my name is Sasha-Noelle, and I am a fully licensed clinical social worker based in New York with over 10 years of experience in the field of social work. I bring a strong foundation in therapy, human development, and psychology, and I have had the privilege of working with both individuals and families across a wide range of needs. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, career stress, and major life transitions. I have worked closely with children, adolescents, and adults between the ages of 1 -35, supporting both clients and their families as they navigate daily challenges and personal growth. My counseling style is warm, caring, and completely non-judgmental. I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel supported, empowered, and respected throughout your journey. Rather than taking a directive approach, I work collaboratively with clients as a team and as equals, helping guide you toward insight, healing, and change at a pace that feels right for you. Creating a safe and supportive environment is central to my work, allowing room for growth, self-discovery, and meaningful progress. I take a culturally responsive and individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that every client brings a unique background, identity, and life experience into the room. My work aims to help clients better understand patterns, emotions, behaviors, and relationship dynamics. Together, we focus on building strengths, improving coping skills, and fostering lasting change. Taking the first step toward change can be difficult, and choosing to seek support takes courage. It is truly an honor to walk alongside my clients as they work toward their goals. With encouragement, collaboration, and commitment, meaningful and life-changing growth is possible. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and ensure that working together feels like a good fit. This initial meeting is focused on creating a comfortable, supportive space where you can begin sharing what brought you to therapy at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to dive into anything you’re not ready to discuss. During our first session, I’ll ask some gentle questions to better understand your experiences, concerns, and goals, while also taking time to hear what feels most important to you right now. My primary focus is on listening, understanding, and beginning to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. We’ll also talk briefly about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and how I may be able to support you moving forward. Above all, the first session is about helping you feel heard, respected, and supported. Therapy is a collaborative process, and this time allows us to determine whether my approach aligns with your needs and expectations. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood and confident about the next steps whether that’s continuing our work together or exploring other options that feel right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to balance honesty with warmth. My approach is direct, clear, and goal-oriented often described by clients as “direct, but with a hug.” I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel both supported and gently challenged, and I work to create a space where that balance feels safe and empowering. Clients often share that they appreciate my ability to bring humor into the room, we may laugh together, but we also get to work. I use warmth and authenticity to help clients feel comfortable, while staying focused on insight, growth, and real progress. This combination allows therapy to feel human, approachable, and productive. I am skilled at helping clients identify patterns, understand emotions, and develop practical tools without judgment or shame. My style is collaborative and tailored to each individual, meeting clients where they are while helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with late teen, young adults and adults who are navigating emotional, relational, and life-stage challenges. Many of the clients I support are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, relationship concerns, career uncertainty, identity exploration, or difficulties adjusting to major life transitions. This can include feeling overwhelmed, stuck in recurring patterns, struggling with self-doubt, or wanting greater balance and clarity in daily life. I work well with clients who are open to self-reflection and motivated to better understand themselves, even if they are unsure where to begin. This starts with a level of transparency and openness. Therapy goals often include improving emotional regulation, building healthier coping strategies, strengthening relationships and boundaries, increasing confidence, and gaining insight into thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that may no longer be serving them. Clients do not need to have everything figured out; only a willingness to engage honestly and take steps toward growth at a pace that feels right. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and non-judgmental, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore challenges and work toward meaningful, sustainable change. If you are seeking a therapist who will meet you with compassion, respect your individuality, and partner with you in reaching your personal goals, I may be a good fit for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts influence how they feel and act. We work together to gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build tools that support real, lasting change. I aim to create a supportive space that feels practical, empowering, and grounded in your goals.

Strength-Based

I integrate a strength-based framework to help clients recognize their existing capacities and leverage them toward their therapeutic goals. This approach supports empowerment, self-efficacy, and sustainable change by building on each client’s unique strengths and experiences. Treatment is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs.

Family Therapy

I use elements of Functional Family Therapy (FFT) in individual sessions to help clients better understand relationship dynamics and communication patterns. This approach supports insight, healthier boundaries, and more effective ways of navigating family and interpersonal challenges.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I use a culturally responsive approach that honors each client’s cultural background, values, and lived experiences. Therapy is tailored to reflect the social, cultural, and systemic factors that shape identity, relationships, and mental health. My goal is to create a respectful, affirming space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported.
