(she/her)
Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, graduate of Arizona State University. Life’s challenges are an opportunity for growth! I believe therapy has the capacity to provide insight into ourselves, help us understand who we are and why, and increase awareness and authenticity. My approach to therapy is person-centered, with an emphasis on compassion and empathy. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel stronger in the face of challenges, adjust behaviors that are holding you back, and heal pains from the past. I look forward to meeting you and am honored to be a part of your journey. In-person appointments available- please inquire.
In our first session together, I would love to get to know you better. This is done in part by "giving you the floor" and encouraging you to speak, within your comfort level, about your experiences and why you are seeking therapy. The second part is completing an intake, which typically includes questions about your personal history. The intake process usually takes about 30-45 minutes and allows me to get a full picture of you; where you have been, where you are currently and where you would like to go. After the intake we will create a treatment plan together, which will be your goals for therapy.
I am a non-judgemental, open-minded, ethical and compassionate therapist. I strive to help my clients achieve self-actualization; reaching their full potential through personal growth and a fulfilling life.
I love working with adults from all walks of life. I have experience assisting clients of all ages with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, chronic and terminal medical conditions. I use a variety of therapeutic interventions, as one size does not fit all. I am trained in cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
When we can learn to accept life’s experiences and circumstances without trying to change them, we can commit to moving forward in a more positive direction!
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Learning to identify how our thought patterns affect our behaviors provides insight into ourselves. It can often provide us the “why.”
Humanistic
I believe all people have inherent worth & potential! We all have different perspectives and experiences, and I customize therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. I see individuals as having the capacity to make changes and shape their own lives.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is a person-centered approach where the client finds the “answer” through introspection and empowerment.

I have been seeing Katy for a while now. She is great. She listens and is really compassionate. She is also very reasonable, understanding and most importantly, very kind. I wouldn't want to see anyone else and I am so glad I connected with Katy when I did.
