Summer Louis
I’m Summer Louis, MSN, MPH, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. At Care Clinic Plus, I provide compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma-related conditions. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where every client feels heard, supported, and empowered on their journey toward better mental health.
First session
During your first session, we’ll take the time to get to know you, discuss your concerns, and explore your mental health history, symptoms, and treatment goals. I provide a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can openly share your experiences at your own pace. Together, we’ll review your symptoms, discuss potential diagnoses, and develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and lifestyle recommendations. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and confident about the next steps in your mental health journey.
Strengths
Your first session is a comfortable, judgment-free space where we’ll get to know each other and begin building a foundation for your care. I’ll take the time to learn about your current concerns, medical and mental health history, and what you hope to gain from treatment. Together, we’ll discuss your goals and begin creating a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first appointment feeling heard, understood, and hopeful.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone seeking to better understand their mental health and improve their overall quality of life. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, or everyday stressors that affect their daily functioning. I welcome children, adolescents, and adults who are ready to explore their challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change. Whether you're seeking answers, medication management, or ongoing support, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your mental health journey.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health challenges. Through practical coping strategies, reframing unhelpful thoughts, and developing healthier responses to stress, I help clients build skills they can use in everyday life. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client's individual needs and treatment goals. I often integrate CBT techniques with medication management when appropriate to support long-term emotional well-being.
