If you are looking for support for yourself, a child, relationships, or your family, let's talk. Life is unpredictable. When an individual experiences life events that change their functioning in their world, talking with a trained unbiased individual helps. Each of us has it within us to change. I welcome the opportunity to support individuals on their personal journey to transform their lives. I have 20 years experience working with individuals from childhood thru end of life. I provide a variety of therapeutic interventions as each of us is our own person, requiring tools specific to you. Sometimes things just don't make sense. When that happens, it is important to have a safe, neutral, and active listener to speak with. Reach out, we can discuss what you are experiencing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

On our first meeting the goal is to understand the current situation that brought a person to therapy. Once that is established, I review the person's mental health history by completing a through biopsychosocial assessment. This assessment allows me to rule out any medical issues that may contribute to the current situation and the culture and context of a person's life. As the session comes to a close, plans will be made for the next therapeutic session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

The foundation of my therapeutic approach is client centered, strength based, and solution focused. Approaching therapy in this manner lays the foundation for a trusting relationship. With relationship and safety established, additional therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), or Mental Health Permanency for Adoption can be delivered to process through various challenges a person is experiencing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with clients who have struggled with complex trauma and the intergenerational transmission of trauma. There are several situations I have treated in relationship to traumatic experiences, such as, anger, poor performance in life areas, substance use, disrupted relationships, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, and self-harm.
