(she/her)
I am a strong believer in the healing powers of expressive arts and play, for both children and adults. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Board Certified Registered Art TherapistSM (ATR-BC®), I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults who are struggling with traumatic experiences, anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, and family relationship challenges. My approach is creative, expressive, strength-based and playful. I am a family/systems-centered therapist, and I hope to make long-term changes that will increase your quality of life.
For our first session, we will go over policies for therapy and any questions you have. I will also be learning about you and your goals for therapy.
I am open-minded, creative, trust-worthy and reliable. I treat my clients with respect, and I believe that all clients, including children, are experts in their experiences.
I look forward to working with people who are open to trying new things and being creative. I look forward to working with people who are curious about their own backgrounds and are interested in change. I hope to work with people who believe that the past narrative can be rewritten. I hope to get to know each client's story and who they want to become.
Trauma Informed Care
I am trained in EMDR and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) to offer trauma-informed care for individuals and families.
Play Therapy
I am a Board Certified Registered Art TherapistSM (ATR-BC®), and I am in the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist, so that I can offer play as part of children's healing journey. I love combining play and art in the healing process with my clients.
