Benedicta Ekwutosi Ejindu Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, MEd, C_DBT, NCC, CAADC, CGP, CCTP. I am an emotionally intelligent and faith-based professional with experience working with individuals (including children, adolescents, and adults), families, and groups. I am a highly skilled counselor who has had the opportunity to work with those struggling with substance abuse, behavioral disorders, grief, trauma, eating disorders, cultural and minority issues, anxiety, relational issues, and depression. It is an honor to walk alongside those who are in a place where they need help to move forward, find well-being, and achieve their goals. I am optimistic that there will be a resolution to the concerns and issues affecting positive functioning.

Trauma-focused CBT is a modality of providing services to clients with the intent of helping the client to overcome the negative impacts of trauma. This approach combines cognitive and behavioral techniques to modify distorted thoughts and negative behaviors and teaches new coping skills. This modality aims to help the client remain in a relaxed body. And learn new coping skills, communication around the trauma. The therapy aims to reduce symptoms like PTSD, anxiety, and depression, ultimately helping individuals process the traumatic experience in a way that reduces its emotional power and allows them to move forward with more confidence.
