LCSW-C, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Clients can expect to leave sessions with a greater sense of clarity, understanding, and empowerment. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. By the end of our sessions, I want clients to feel equipped with practical tools and coping strategies to manage challenges. Together, we’ll work to increase self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and promote personal growth, helping clients feel more confident and in control of their lives. I considered myself to be an eceletic style therapist using many modalities to help support a client. Clients can expect to leave sessions with a greater sense of clarity, understanding, and empowerment. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings.
In a first session, we will build rapport and complete an intake. I want to get a sense of who you are and collect information about what's bringing you into therapy.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths. I believe these strengths will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you. I am here to support & empower you in your therapeutic journey.
I am best positioned to serve anyone with an open heart and mind and ready to start their therapeutic journey.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years of experience providing therapy in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community mental health, and an eating disorder clinic. Over the course of my work, I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as one of my primary approaches to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a collaborative, skills-based therapy that focuses on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and learning healthier ways to respond to challenges. I value CBT because it offers practical tools you can use in everyday life, not just in session. For example, together we might explore how certain beliefs are influencing your mood or behavior, then practice strategies to shift those patterns in ways that support your goals.
I use Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to help clients build a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves. CFT focuses on reducing shame and self-criticism by strengthening self-compassion and emotional regulation. In our work, we’ll explore the roots of self-critical thoughts and practice strategies to calm the mind and cultivate compassion. While I bring clinical expertise, I believe you are the expert of your story, and my role is to support and empower you as you use your strengths to create meaningful change.
I use a Humanistic approach to therapy, which emphasizes personal growth, self-awareness, and the belief that every person has the capacity for change. This approach is grounded in creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, values, and goals. I view you as the expert of your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you with empathy and respect as you discover your strengths and move toward a more fulfilling life.
I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily experiences in the present moment. Mindfulness-Based Therapy emphasizes slowing down, noticing without judgment, and creating space between what we experience and how we respond. By practicing mindfulness, clients often find they can reduce stress, manage overwhelming emotions, and approach challenges with more clarity and balance.
I use a Person-Centered approach that focuses on creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can feel fully heard and accepted. This method emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness in the therapeutic relationship. By providing this safe and affirming environment, clients are able to explore their experiences, connect with their inner strengths, and move toward personal growth and healing.
