Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We’ll start by talking about what brought you in. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable—this is a confidential, supportive environment. I’ll ask questions about: Your current concerns or symptoms Mental health history Medical history and medications Sleep, stress, relationships, and daily life Based on what we discuss, I may share initial impressions or possible diagnoses. This is a collaborative process, and your input matters. We’ll talk about next steps, which may include: Therapy recommendations Medication options (if appropriate) Lifestyle or coping strategies You’ll always have a say in your treatment plan. Time for Your Questions You’ll have time to ask questions about your care, medications, or anything else on your mind. What Happens Next Before we finish, we’ll discuss follow-up appointments and what ongoing care might look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I don’t believe in “cookie-cutter” treatment. We work together to create a plan that fits your goals, values, and lifestyle. Your voice matters in every decision. As a PMHNP, I’m trained in both medication management and therapeutic support. That means I can: Prescribe and adjust medications when appropriate Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help you build coping skills The goal is always the least invasive, most effective approach. I prioritize real-life improvements—better sleep, reduced anxiety, improved focus, stronger relationships—not just diagnoses or checklists. I approach every client with empathy, respect, and awareness that past experiences can shape present challenges. You won’t be judged or rushed. I make sure you understand what’s going on—whether it’s your diagnosis, how a medication works, or why a strategy helps. When you understand your mental health, you’re better equipped to manage it. I track progress over time and adjust treatment as needed. Mental health care isn’t static, and your plan shouldn’t be either.

It works by helping individuals identify and replace negative thought patterns with healthier alternatives, leading to improved emotions.
