Kaylyn Jones
I’m Kaylyn Jones, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Well Rooted Therapeutic Services based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I work with people navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, and the pressure to hold everything together. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable showing up as you are, even when you’re still figuring out how to put your feelings into words.
First session
Our first session is a chance for me to get to know you and for you to see how it feels to work with me. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your history, your strengths, and what you hope might change. You can share at a pace that feels comfortable. I hope you leave feeling heard, with a clearer sense of where we can begin together.
Strengths
I bring empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to have honest conversations. I’ll make space for your feelings and move at a pace that feels manageable, while also gently challenging thoughts or patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach draws from CBT, mindfulness, and other tools, but our work will be shaped around your needs. I pay attention to the full picture of your life, including your relationships, responsibilities, identity, and sources of strength.
Ideal clients
I work well with people who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, trauma, or the pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations. You may be used to caring for others and ready to make more room for your own needs. You don’t have to know exactly what you want from therapy. A willingness to reflect, try new skills, and be honest about what is and isn’t working is enough to begin.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients notice connections between their thoughts, emotions, and actions. Together, we might explore what goes through your mind during a stressful moment, how that thought affects how you feel, and what you do next. From there, we can question beliefs that may be keeping you stuck and practice responses that better support your goals. CBT is collaborative and tailored to you. I won’t tell you what to think or what decisions to make. I’ll help you build on your strengths and develop tools you can use in everyday life.
