(she/her)
Hi, I’m a psychotherapist with over 26 years of experience—and I still wake up every day passionate about what I do. I believe therapy is about more than just working through problems; it’s about reconnecting with yourself, rediscovering your strengths, and creating lasting change. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for your individual journey. I create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no judgment, no pressure. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, tap into your inner resilience, and build tools to help you move forward with confidence. I use evidence-based practices tailored to your needs, whether we’re addressing anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or simply the desire to live with more clarity and purpose. Helping people heal and grow is not just my job—it’s my calling. Let’s take this journey together.
In our first session, my focus is on creating a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. We'll begin with an open conversation about what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you'd like to get out of our work together. I'll ask questions to better understand your history, relationships, symptoms, and goals — but there's no pressure to share more than you're ready for. This session is also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work, ask any questions, and decide if this feels like the right fit for you. Together, we’ll begin identifying what matters most to you and start mapping a path forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your next steps.
I provide a warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental space that helps clients feel seen and safe—especially when navigating complex emotions or life transitions. I blend evidence-based approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based strategies to meet each client where they are. One of my greatest strengths is helping clients uncover the patterns behind their emotional pain, build self-awareness, and develop practical tools that create real, lasting change. I am particularly skilled at supporting individuals who struggle with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and self-esteem. I empower clients to take ownership of their healing while honoring the pace that feels right for them. Clients often share that they feel deeply understood and supported in our work—and that they leave sessions with new clarity and emotional strength.
My Ideal Clients I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their inner world with honesty and courage. My ideal clients often struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, identity issues, or relationship difficulties. Many are at a point where they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — from themselves or others — and are seeking meaningful change. These clients are open to self-reflection and motivated to build new tools for emotional regulation, communication, boundary-setting, and healing. Whether you're navigating past trauma, life transitions, or just yearning for a more authentic life, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, insight, and support. If you’re committed to doing the work — even when it’s uncomfortable — and ready to shift from surviving to thriving, we may be a great fit.
With extensive experience using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I’ve found it to be a transformative approach—particularly for clients navigating relationship difficulties, emotional disconnection, or unresolved attachment wounds. I have integrated EFT into my work with couples, individuals, and families to help them better understand the emotional patterns that keep them stuck and to foster deeper, more secure connections. In sessions, I use EFT to help clients: Identify and understand their emotional responses within relational dynamics. De-escalate reactive cycles that lead to disconnection or conflict. Access and express core needs and feelings in a safe, supportive space. Restructure interactions so that partners or family members respond to each other with empathy, vulnerability, and care. My focus is always to create a nonjudgmental, emotionally safe environment where clients can explore their experiences and begin to heal. By applying EFT techniques, I guide clients toward meaningful emotional engagement and lasting relational change.
Open, caring and nonjudgmental, I will work together with you in an interactive and supportive process where you can grieve, grow, laugh and celebrate as you move towards healing and change. You are going to be OK, I am here to help.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionaaly-Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family- Systems Therapy.
Marriage therapy and couples counseling is my forte. Relationships require work to grow. Several factors, both internal and external to the relationship, may contribute to difficulties and stress between couples. Becoming new parents, infidelity, sexual dissatisfaction, and money problems are common triggers of a shift or tension between partners. Sometimes, untreated individual disorders such as anxiety, anger management, or depression can cause or increase stress and strain on a relationship. Couples counseling is a type of psychotherapy that helps those involved in a romantic relationship gain insight into their interactions, identify negative communication styles, resolve conflict, and find strategies and tools to improve and strengthen the relationship. No matter your age, marital status, or sexual orientation, I will tailor treatment to the needs of each unique couple. I pride myself in valuing culture, race, religion, and gender as key components of identity within couples counseling.
My natural ability to connect with others, coupled with my unwavering dedication to meet their needs, has proven to be a powerful combination. Through my work, I have helped countless individuals overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those I serve, and I am committed to providing the highest level of care possible.
