As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I’m passionate about helping people create lasting change through a collaborative, supportive, and results-oriented therapeutic relationship. My approach is grounded in empathy and flexibility—I meet each client where they are and tailor sessions to fit their unique goals, pace, and preferences. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, or identity exploration, we’ll work together to build insight, develop practical tools, and strengthen your sense of self. Clients often tell me they feel truly heard, respected, and empowered in our work together. I prioritize creating a safe, culturally responsive space where you can explore, heal, and grow—on your terms. I also believe therapy should be both reflective and action-oriented, helping you gain clarity while making tangible progress toward the life you want. If you're ready to take that next step, I'm here to walk alongside you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—and it’s completely normal to feel nervous, unsure, or even a little guarded at first. Our first session is all about creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. We’ll begin by getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been navigating lately, and what you hope to get out of therapy. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with—there’s no pressure to have it all figured out or dive into anything too deep right away. We’ll also talk through: What you’re hoping to work on (even if it’s still unclear) How I approach therapy and what our sessions might look like Any questions, fears, or past experiences you want me to know about Your preferences around communication, culture, identity, and what feels safe for you The first session is a chance for you to get a feel for how I work—and to decide if this feels like the right fit. My goal is for you to leave feeling a bit lighter, a bit more understood, and confident that you’ve taken a meaningful first step toward growth and healing. You can bring your whole self into the room—messy parts, quiet parts, strong parts, and everything in between.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood in our work together. I bring warmth, cultural humility, and a grounded presence to every session. My strengths include: Building trust quickly, especially with youth and young adults Creating a nonjudgmental, affirming space for BIPOC clients Helping clients feel empowered—not “fixed” Balancing deep emotional insight with practical, actionable tools Showing up fully present, with compassion and care My approach is honest, flexible, and client-centered—always focused on what matters most to you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with youth, young adults, and BIPOC clients who are navigating life transitions, identity exploration, emotional challenges, and the pressure to “hold it all together” in environments that may not always feel supportive or safe. My ideal clients are often: Teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, or family dynamics First-generation or BIPOC individuals managing cultural expectations, code-switching, or feeling caught between worlds Young people exploring their identity—racial, cultural, gender, or sexual—and seeking a space to do that safely Those feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or isolated, even when surrounded by others Highly capable individuals who are tired of carrying everything alone Many of my clients come to therapy wanting clarity, confidence, and emotional relief—but aren’t quite sure where to begin. That’s okay. I offer a culturally responsive, affirming space where you can show up as your full self without judgment. Together, we’ll work on making sense of what you’re going through, building coping tools, and rediscovering your voice and power. Whether you’re dealing with everyday stress or deeper pain, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy can be a space for healing—and for becoming more you.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, accepted, and empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions. I trust that clients are the experts in their own lives and inherently capable of growth, and I see my role as someone who supports and facilitates that process rather than directing it.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop more balanced and realistic thinking. I guide them in recognizing cognitive distortions, challenging automatic thoughts, and practicing new skills such as behavioral activation, exposure techniques, or thought journaling, depending on their specific needs.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use solution-focused techniques to help clients clarify their goals, identify what’s already working, and envision the changes they want to see.
