Dianna Moses
Hello! I'm a clinical psychologist with 22 years of experience in identifying and diagnosing a variety of conditions including AD/HD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety disorders, depression, and stress or trauma related disorders. . I specialize in treating individuals dealing with various types of anxiety, AD/HD, and the need to make health related behavior changes. I work from solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy models, which involve a combination of client centered approaches that put you in the driver seat of deciding your goals and what we will focus on AND my expert help to educate and coach you along the way so you learn to make your thoughts and behaviors work for you and become tools that get where you are trying to go.
First session
In our first session, we'll review some logistics of doing therapy in a telehealth format. After that, I may ask you several questions about various areas of your emotional experience, life history, and current functioning to help me begin to make a diagnosis or understand what you need help with. Additionally, we will have a conversation about your hopes for therapy, exploring what you would like to accomplish by coming to see me. This is how we will identify and prioritize our treatment goals. Either at the end of this session or at our next one, I may present you with some information and options about your concerns and how we might proceed with treatment.
Strengths
My therapeutic approach is unique in that I will help you rebuild a more helpful perspective of yourself and educate you so that you are better able to cope with the problem that brought you to therapy, and other problems that come your way ! Additionally, I have a strong background in assessment, so I can help you identify a diagnosis or know what the next steps should be in getting a diagnosis.
Ideal clients
We will be great fit if you are seeking help to make changes your everyday behaviors to improve your mental and/or physical health, if you want to overcome anxiety in order to do more in life, or are struggling to manage all of the things because of AD/HD (suspected or diagnosed).
