Hi there, I’m Alexis. Have you been thinking about beginning your therapeutic journey but unsure of where to start? I’m here to help you take that next step, that could lead you to becoming a better version of yourself. I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I have over 5 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings. I strive to tailor each session to each individual’s unique needs by providing a safe, nurturing, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental environment. Whether you're dealing with a life transition, interpersonal conflict, low self-esteem, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel intimidating and overwhelming but you're making the decision. You deserve a safe space to be yourself, heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. My goal is to make each individual I meet with feel seen and heard. I look forward to helping you along your journey!
During our first session we will discuss current concerns, expectations of treatment, and goals for your therapeutic treatment. Based on the information you share, I will tailor our sessions around your needs. I like to meet clients where they are and build on that.
I specialize in the following interventions: Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Person-Centered, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief (SFBT).
My areas of expertise include anxiety, anger management, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, stress, and substance abuse. I have experience working with children, teens/adolescents, and adults. I have experience working in a variety of settings and levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and school-based programs. I like to collaborate with each client by assessing needs each session and updating our treatment plan and goals accordingly. I like to utilize supportive resources and provide session summaries to help each client remember what their short-term and long-term goals are along their therapeutic journey to increase engagement and progress.
I work with adolescents and adults between the ages of 13 to 50. My practice would be ideal for clients that are looking for affordable quality care in a convenient virtual setting
