Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) based in San Antonio, Texas. I received my Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southwestern Assemblies of God and have been practicing for over 10 years. I help adults struggling with addictions, trauma and relationships issues.
In our first session together, we start with brief introductions, then dive into what are the goals they would like to accomplish. I usually ask "if I had a magic wand, how would you like your life to be?" This could help me identify accurately the focus of our future sessions and the tools to give the client.
Having worked with clients dealing with addiction, trauma and relationship conflict for over a decade, I have developed a set of tools with proven results to identify the root of the challenges and start the healing process. My clients in the first session will gain insight and will discover new hope. Having a visual roadmap to accomplish their goals has been key to help clients go from fear to hope.
My passion is to help veterans, active duty, first responders, law enforcement officers, their spouses and civilians. My clients are ready to take consciousness of what the problem is, how it got there and have the commitment and determination to use the tools received to achieve the change they want.
Psychoeducation
I believe it is very important to have the right information and tools to be able to understand the what, the why, the how and be able to find answers.
Christian Counseling
I have been in a spiritual journey for decades and have an easy way to explain the difficult topics in life. There is a lot of data I like sharing that shows how increasing spirituality reduces anxiety and depression.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Understanding negative core believes and stinky thinking will empower anyone to have the life everyone has the right to have.
Couples Counseling
Understanding how some systems used by couples is what is on the way of their happiness and how upgrading them could make the whole difference.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is surrendering to what it is and embracing the now. The goal is to have a wise ming uniting the emotions with intellect.
