Mary Papagolos
Welcome! My name is Mary and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Living your fullest life is the framework to my practice and my work with individuals, couples, families and children. It is also the grounding motto that I choose to live my own life by. Living your fullest life is a way of embracing the many ebbs and flows that life has to offer. Learning to do this gracefully and without resistance can sometimes take guidance and support. I have been helping individuals, couples, families and children for 13 years in a variety of different treatment settings. I believe that together, in a therapeutic setting, you can learn to embrace and explore parts of your life that can be uncomfortable or causing distress. By leaning into these often uncomfortable areas, you also open yourself up to new solutions, new ideas, and a fuller more alive experience. First session
During your first session, I seek to create a comfortable, warm and welcoming environment where we explore together, at your pace, what is bringing you in for counseling. We will also establish what you hope to get out of our time together so that therapy is meaningful and productive for you.
Strengths
My warm and empathetic approach often times makes people feel comfortable opening up early on in treatment. I collaborate with my clients helping them to find their own solutions and answers, while also bringing in guidance and my expertise.
