New to Grow
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over eight years of experience helping adults navigate life's most challenging seasons. Throughout my career, I've worked in hospitals, behavioral health, crisis intervention, and medical settings, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and overwhelming stress. My experience has allowed me to work with people from diverse backgrounds while providing compassionate, evidence-based care. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe every person deserves a safe space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed approaches to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthy coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. I especially enjoy working with adults who have spent so much time taking care of everyone else that they've forgotten how to care for themselves. Whether you're feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling with anxiety, processing trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to help you rediscover your strengths and move forward with confidence.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to accomplish through counseling. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we'll identify your goals and begin creating a treatment plan that reflects your unique needs and strengths. My priority is helping you feel comfortable, supported, and understood from the very beginning. You can expect our conversations to be collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you make meaningful progress.
I bring both professional expertise and real-life experience into my work as a therapist. Like many of my clients, I've experienced seasons of joy, unexpected challenges, personal growth, and the demands of balancing multiple roles. Those experiences have deepened my empathy and reinforced my belief that healing isn't about being perfect—it's about learning to move through life's difficulties with resilience and self-compassion. As a wife, mother, and helping professional, I understand the pressure of caring for others while often placing your own needs last. These experiences allow me to connect with clients in an authentic and meaningful way. In session, you'll find that I'm warm, present, and supportive, but I also believe growth happens when we're willing to gently challenge the patterns that keep us stuck. I'll hold space for your emotions without judgment, while also asking thoughtful questions, offering honest observations, and encouraging you to see yourself and your circumstances from new perspectives. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I strive to create a balance of compassion and accountability so that you leave each session feeling both supported and empowered to make meaningful changes.
I work best with adults who are ready to invest in their personal growth, even if they're not sure where to begin. Many of my clients are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or significant life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, struggle with setting boundaries, overthink decisions, or find themselves repeating patterns that no longer serve them. I also enjoy working with helping professionals, caregivers, healthcare workers, and individuals who have spent much of their lives caring for others while neglecting their own needs. Whether you're seeking practical coping skills, healing from past experiences, or greater clarity and confidence, we'll work together to identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change
Other specialties
I identify as
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach by helping clients identify their strengths, past successes, and existing supports rather than focusing only on their problems. During sessions, I encourage clients to define what meaningful progress looks like for them and work together to create realistic, achievable steps toward those goals. I help clients recognize what is already working in their lives, build on those successes, and leave each session with practical strategies they can begin using immediately.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges. I guide clients in replacing those thoughts with healthier, more balanced perspectives while developing practical coping skills they can use between sessions. My goal is to help clients respond to life's challenges with greater confidence, emotional awareness, and self-control.
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psychoeducation throughout the counseling process by providing clear, easy-to-understand information about mental health, emotional wellness, and the therapeutic process. I believe that when clients understand what they are experiencing and why, they feel more empowered to make positive changes. I teach practical skills related to stress management, communication, emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, self-care, and coping strategies, ensuring clients leave sessions with knowledge they can apply in their everyday lives.
