About
Hi I'm Racquel. As Megan Thee Stallion says “ Bad Bitches have Bad Days Too”. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience. I became a therapist because I wanted to help others especially Black and other people of color. I help adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD and childhood trauma.

I would be honored to help you on your journey to living a happier and more fulfilling life.
First session
During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and also go over your family history. Going over family history helps to understand who you are, where you came from and ways to help you.
Strengths
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my compassion and empathy. I will listen to you and offer you the tools to help you.
Ideal clients
I love working with people who have suffered from anxiety. As someone who has had anxiety in the past and been in therapy to help me, I know what it's like to have anxious thoughts and feelings and not know how to calm myself. I feel it's so important to have a therapist who truly understands you and can help you move to the other side of anxiety, OCD and PTSD.
Treatment methods
Humanistic
I feel the most important part of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. By using a humanistic approach we will work together to help you to understand your behavior and ways to help you to change and live your best life.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
Cognitive processing helps you to process your trauma and work on ways to address your symptoms.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Your culture is an important part of who you are as a person. In therapy we will incorporate your cultural beliefs and practices.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is very helpful with anxiety, PTSD and OCD. Mindfulness helps to keep you grounded and focused and reduces feelings of anxiety, fear and self doubt.
