Hi there, I’m Jim. Do you feel stuck, unable to overcome challenges you face? Are you struggling to meet your goals? Is it difficult being pulled in multiple directions without finding the answers you are looking for? I help people overcome the adversity they face everyday. Together, we can build a plan that allows you the freedom to overcome these obstacles. We’ll build upon the skills set you currently have to implement natural attainable growth. We will figure out ways to get you to place where you feel back in control of your life. I will use a variety of techniques to help you find the path to overcome the adversity you face. Whether you are dealing with addiction, job loss, trauma, relationship issues or anxiety. I’m here to be by your side as you learn to overcome. Seeking therapy may feel scary at first, believe me I know from experience. But, you are making the right choice to be here. You deserve a compassionate place where you are able to heal and become the best version of yourself. In our sessions, I’ll meet you where your at and practice evidence based techniques so you find the path you are meant to follow. Let’s do this together, you owe it to yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Upon meeting, we will begin to build rapport and work through the issues you would like to address. I will challenge you to implement strategies. We will discuss ways to implement these strategies and you will feel that you are in control of your own path. The progress you make will feel natural and positive. You will have light bulb moments where you figure out how possible it is to reach your personal goals. On this journey, you will find an authentic practitioner who helps you to find your authentic self.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

During sessions I will utilize motivational interviewing, CBT, solution focused, narrative therapy, and person centered therapy in a conversation style. Many sessions will be an eclectic mix with a foundation of Motivational Interviewing. We will work on grounding exercises and focus on your experience in life to guide our direction.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths in practice are allowing you the “autonomy” to meet your own personal goals. You will not feel like this is therapy until you notice the changes that you have implemented in your life. I work extremely well with men who have limited engagement in therapy in the past.
