About me

I’m Lauren Turner, LCSW, Founder of The Turner Practice, where we support athletes, high performers, and their families through mental health and performance coaching. I’m warm, direct, culturally responsive, and practical, blending mindfulness, humor, and creativity. I help clients build confidence, navigate pressure, strengthen relationships, and become healthier, more grounded performers.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance to feel heard, understood, and comfortable—not judged or pressured. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’re experiencing, and what you hope to change. You’ll leave with greater clarity about your needs, a starting point for your goals, and practical tools you can begin using right away.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Our approach is warm, honest, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-world experience. In session, we may laugh, challenge your perspective, slow things down, practice mindfulness, or get curious about what your body is telling you. You’ll feel supported without judgment while gaining practical tools to navigate pressure, relationships, and performance.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an athlete or high performer who is ambitious, self-aware, and ready for meaningful growth. They may be navigating pressure, anxiety, self-doubt, identity, relationships, burnout, or major transitions. They want more than simply “getting through it”—they want to feel confident, grounded, connected, and fully themselves while pursuing excellence. Working toward finding ways to rest while being overworked can be the recipe for success for clients.
