(she/her)
Hi! My name is Chau. I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Yale Assistant Clinical Professor specializing in women's mental health, particularly depression and anxiety. I have a special interest in helping women become the best version of themselves through mental and physical wellness. I believe there are many paths to healing and recovery and that medication can be just one part of the equation. I incorporate evidence-based practices such as vitamins and supplements, sleep interventions, physical activity, mindfulness approaches, and more. Above all, I believe that every person has the right to compassionate, non-judgmental care that is tailored to their individual needs.
During your first visit with me, you can expect to feel a sense of relief that you are in good hands. We will have a conversation and together develop a comprehensive treatment plan that will take into account your history, life experiences, lifestyle, and views on medication and holistic treatments. I collaborate with a psychiatrist to make sure you receive the best, appropriate care to reach your goals.
As a psych NP, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, shaped by both my professional expertise and personal experiences. As a mother of an infant and toddler, I understand the incredible joys and challenges that come with raising a family. Having experienced postpartum depression myself, I recognize the complexities of balancing multiple roles and the impact it can have on your mental health.
New moms, women suffering from postpartum depression, women going through life transitions. I have a special interest in helping women become the best version of themselves through mental and physical wellness.
While I primarily prescribe medications, I use an integrative and holistic approach where I incorporate vitamins, supplements, patient education on sleep hygiene, mindfulness techniques, and more.
