I am an LMHC licensed to practice in MA (soon to add NH and ME) and have been practicing for 25 years. I help individuals of all ages navigate the stressors of life as well as anxiety and depression. In addition, I have experience as a performance coach for over 25 years, helping individuals elevate and meet their personal and professional goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a diverse group of people for the past 25 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I serve a diverse range of clients, including individuals looking to enhance their relationships with their children or partners, adults seeking support for anxiety and depression, and anyone interested in personal growth and resilience building. We can create a customized approach tailored to their unique goals and circumstances, fostering a positive and supportive therapeutic experience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With 25 years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I have helped many children and adults deal with anxiety and depression. In my work, I teach simple strategies and skills that help people change their negative thoughts and find better ways to cope with their feelings. This proven approach has helped my clients become more resilient and supported their long-term emotional health.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

With 25 years of experience using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I have helped both children and adults learn to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings. My approach encourages individuals to accept their emotions rather than fight against them while also focusing on taking positive actions that align with their values. This method helps people manage anxiety and stress and promotes a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)

With 25 years of experience using Parent-Child Interaction (PCI) therapy, I specialize in helping families navigate child development challenges. I understand parenting can be difficult, and children don't come with manuals, especially in today's ever-changing world. My approach focuses on improving communication and strengthening the bond between parents and children, making it easier for families to thrive together.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on helping individuals enhance their well-being and lead more fulfilling lives by identifying and building on their strengths. As a psychotherapist, I use positive psychology to help my clients recognize what is going well in their lives and to cultivate positive emotions, relationships, and a sense of purpose. This approach encourages people to set meaningful goals and develop resilience, empowering them to overcome challenges while appreciating the good in their lives. Ultimately, positive psychology aims to promote not just the absence of mental illness but the presence of thriving and happiness.

Strength-Based

I believe people bring many strengths to the space and work of psychotherapy.
