Hi, I’m Brandi Eiland, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I help individuals work through anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, and life’s “what now?” moments. My style is honest, down to earth, and sprinkled with humor because sometimes healing starts with realizing you’re not the only one holding it together with coffee, sarcasm, and a to-do list you keep ignoring. Therapy with me is a space to be real, laugh when it helps, and build practical tools to handle life without feeling like it’s handling you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is all about getting comfortable and getting to know each other with no pressure, no awkward “lie down on the couch and tell me about your childhood” moments. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’d like to be different in your life. I’ll ask questions to understand your story, your goals, and how you’ve been coping so far (even if your coping skills currently include overthinking, avoidance, or stress cleaning). Most importantly, it’s a chance for you to see if I’m the right fit for you. Therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and maybe laugh once or twice along the way.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths is creating a space where people can be fully themselves with messy thoughts, hard feelings, dark humor, and all. I balance empathy with honesty, which means I’ll support you while also gently challenging the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is practical and relatable, not overly clinical or full of jargon. I focus on helping you understand the “why” behind what you’re feeling while building real tools you can actually use outside of session.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long. My ideal clients are often the “strong ones” everyone leans on including the helpers, overthinkers, people-pleasers, and high-functioning worriers who look like they have it all together on the outside but feel anxious, disconnected, or burned out on the inside. I enjoy working with adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, life transitions, addiction, ADHD, and emotional overwhelm. I’m especially a good fit for clients who want more than just a place to vent. They want insight, practical tools, and real change. If you’re willing to be honest, do the work, and maybe laugh a little at the chaos along the way, we’ll probably work well together.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients build a different relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Instead of trying to get rid of anxiety, painful feelings, or intrusive thoughts, we work on making space for them and learning how to respond in a healthier way. The goal is not to feel perfect all the time. The goal is to feel more grounded and less controlled by what is happening internally. A lot of times this means slowing down and noticing patterns like overthinking, avoidance, self criticism, or getting caught in fear. Together, we work on stepping back from those patterns so they have less power over your choices. We also spend time identifying what truly matters to you so your actions start lining up with your values instead of your worries. I like using ACT because it feels real. Life is hard, messy, and unpredictable, and I do not believe healing means never struggling. I believe healing means learning how to carry hard things differently, with more flexibility, self compassion, and confidence in yourself.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all connect. Often when people are struggling, they can get stuck in patterns of negative thinking that make anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship problems feel even heavier. CBT helps us slow those patterns down and look at them more clearly. In our work together, we identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge the beliefs behind them, and practice healthier ways of thinking and responding. This might look like learning how to manage anxiety before it spirals, recognizing self defeating patterns, or changing behaviors that keep you feeling stuck. I like CBT because it is practical and straightforward. It gives clients real tools they can use in everyday life, not just in session. My goal is to help you feel more aware of your patterns, more in control of your reactions, and more confident in handling whatever life throws your way.

Strength-Based

I use Strengths-based practice to help clients recognize and build on the strengths they already have, even when life has made those strengths hard to see. Many people come into therapy focused on what is wrong with them, but I believe healing also comes from understanding what is right with them. In our work together, we identify your resilience, past successes, coping skills, and personal values, and use those as the foundation for growth. This approach helps shift the focus from feeling broken or stuck to seeing your ability to adapt, heal, and move forward. I like strengths based therapy because it reminds people that they are more than their struggles. Even in the middle of anxiety, addiction, trauma, or major life changes, there is usually strength, insight, and survival already present. My role is to help you reconnect with that and use it to create meaningful change.

Grief Therapy

I provide grief therapy to support clients through loss in all its forms, whether that is the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a major life change, or letting go of the life you thought you would have. Grief can feel overwhelming, confusing, and deeply isolating, and there is no “right” way to move through it. In our work together, I create space for you to process your loss at your own pace. We make room for the pain, the questions, the anger, and even the moments of guilt or relief that can come with grief. I help clients understand that healing does not mean forgetting or “moving on.” It means learning how to carry the loss while still making space for life, connection, and hope. My approach to grief therapy is compassionate, grounded, and real. I believe grief changes us, but it does not have to define us. Together, we work toward finding meaning, honoring your loss, and helping you feel less alone in the process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-focused brief therapy to help clients focus less on what is not working and more on what can change. This approach is centered on identifying practical solutions, building on your strengths, and creating small, meaningful steps toward the life you want. In our work together, we spend less time digging through every detail of the problem and more time exploring what is already helping, what has worked before, and what progress could look like for you. I ask questions that help uncover your resilience, resources, and goals so we can build from there. I like solution focused therapy because it is empowering and forward moving. It reminds clients that even when life feels overwhelming, change is possible, and sometimes the smallest shifts can create the biggest momentum. My goal is to help you leave sessions with clarity, hope, and practical steps you can actually use.
