Hi I'm Madelyn. I'm an LCSW licensed in TN, and I've spent years doing trauma-informed work, starting with young moms experiencing homelessness in NYC. I believe your body and mind carry stories, and those stories shape how you move through everyday life. My practice is a holistic, and relational. I'll meet you as a real person, not a diagnosis, and we'll figure out what actually helps.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is mostly me getting to know you and you getting a feel for me. There's no pressure to spill your whole life story in 50 minutes, though you're welcome to. We'll talk about what brought you here, what you're experiencing, what you're hoping for and whether we're a good fit.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm warm, but I promise I won't just nod while you talk in circles. I hold space, but also push back when needed. I bring honesty and a sense of humor. We won't only talk about what's in your head; we'll pay attention to what's happening in your body and your nervous system as well as the spiritual/existential stuff too. Because healing doesn't always happen in neat boxes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients value holistic wellness-- the connection between mind, body and soul. Young professionals navigating career, shifts life transitions, and work-life balance. Women processing birth or stepping into motherhood and all it entails. Individuals working through existential questions, spiritual trauma, and matters of faith. Anyone asking the big questions, sitting with uncertainty, and ready to tell the truth about where they are.
