I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for young adults navigating life’s transitions and challenges. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, grief, and other adjustments that can come with changes in work, relationships, living situations, and identity. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, with a focus on helping clients gain clarity, develop practical coping skills, and feel more confident navigating whatever comes next. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs and exploring all that Atlanta has to offer.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship that feels comfortable and supportive. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what you’d like to get out of our time together. I also believe the first session is a chance for both of us to decide whether we’re a good fit. I want you to feel confident that I’m the right provider for you, just as I’ll be getting to know how I can best support you. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out right away; we’ll start where you are and work together from there.
I bring a warm, genuine, and collaborative approach to each session. Building trust and rapport is important to me, and I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and showing up as they are without judgment. I also believe therapy should be practical and purposeful, so I work with clients to identify what feels most important to them and develop strategies that fit their individual needs and everyday lives.
My ideal client is someone who may be navigating a transition, relationship change, or a period of uncertainty and wants support making sense of what they’re experiencing. They may be dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, a breakup, a move, changes in work or school, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed by where life is taking them. They don’t need to have everything figured out, or even know exactly what they need from therapy. I enjoy working with clients who are open to self-reflection and ready to explore their experiences, build practical coping skills, and gain greater clarity and confidence as they move forward.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a practical, collaborative approach to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or feeling stuck, and explore ways to approach those patterns with greater awareness and flexibility. I often incorporate practical strategies and between-session skills so clients can apply what they are learning to situations in their everyday lives. My goal is not to simply change how you think, but to help you better understand yourself, respond to challenges more effectively, and feel more confident navigating difficult situations.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore what they want for themselves and identify the motivation for making meaningful changes. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I take a curious and nonjudgmental approach that allows them to explore their own values, goals, and reasons for change. This can be especially helpful when clients feel stuck, uncertain, or conflicted about a decision or life transition. Together, we identify realistic next steps that feel manageable and aligned with what matters most to them.
